Monochrome Ikea Besta TV wall unit hack

Looking for a TV wall unit that acts as a modern piece of art,

and functions as additional storage at the same time?

Need maximum space in your lounge room?

Why not try this Ikea Besta TV unit hack?

Introducing the TV wall unit with a twist.

This was our lounge room wall before.

Here’s our space after.

How to hack the Ikea Besta TV wall unit

Just add legs!

My best tip:

Plan out your space,

I put pieces of paper on the walls where I wanted each cabinet to go.

{See below}

To give it a twist,

we added wooden legs to the base of each unit.

This serves to hide the wall power points and also softens the high gloss white finish with a light wood tone.

Perfect for a Scandinavian style look.

I chose the open top shelf  on all 4 bottom drawers rather than fully closed cupboards, so we could house a video player, Foxtel and our sound system underneath the bench making the top was totally free of electrical units and messy cords.

I love this TV wall unit,

it’s a perfect fit for our Yamba Scandi style.

It houses artworks,

(and you can change them around when you feel like it)

electrical devices,

takes up minimal space,

and serves as storage for items like, tissues, pens and paper.

We haven’t even utilised every cupboard yet, so we can grow into it.

Storage that doubles as shelving…

priceless.

These cupboards house tissues, pens, paper so they are in easy reach, but the space stays neat and tidy.

And,

did I mention…

they are the perfect shelves for artworks.

What we used:

But.

Sometimes..

the best thing is…

just looking…

at artworks

that remind you of family,

even when you are far away.

Especially when they rest right in front of you as you relax.

Yay, I think you’ll love the price. I’m really happy with this wall unit, it has so many purposes, and i think it looks like art itself, hanging it on the wall has saved us space and it can be used as a shelving and storage, priceless.
